Very clear sound.
Trader's note: The translation is kind of awful - among other things, Elisabeth asserts that she is allowed to be a horse during “Eine Kaiserin muss glänzen”. Still, a good capture of this elusive production, even though lyrics aren’t delivered clearly in all songs. Mika Kujala is a good, mesmerising Tod - sometimes soft and tormented, sometimes cruel with a great evil cackle. What is it with the Tods that have the initials “MK”? Somehow, the Tod songs are translated better too. Rudolf is also good, and “Spiegel” is beautifully translated. Lucheni isn’t very exciting.
