London, Her Majesty’s Theater (09.10.1986 - 16.03.2020)
27 March 1987; London, UK Michael Crawford (Phantom), Rebecca Caine (alt. Christine), Steve Barton (Raoul), Rosemary Ashe (Carlotta), David Firth (André), John Savident (Firmin), John Aron (Piangi), Mary Millar (Mme Giry), Janet Devenish (Meg) Audio only from 'Prima Donna' till the end of Act I, video ends after 'Twisted Every Way'. Almost black and white picture and really heavy generation loss. Includes clips of various concert performances and news clips (third screenshot), which are much better quality than the main video. Originally came to me dated simply as 1987 (and so it is dated on every trading site I saw), but later I got the audio dated as 27 March and I'm sure these 2 recordings are from the same performance, it's clear after comparing screams during the Overture and Raoul's "Christine! Angel!" in the end of Mirror scene. Highlights, ~1h 30 min. VOB|1 DVD|3.88 GB
1988; London, UK Dave Willetts (Phantom), Jan Hartley-Morris (Christine), Michael Cormick (Raoul) 2 versions available: Version 1*: There's a lot of generation loss and tons of washout and color bleeding. Missing from second part of Overture till Reyer's appearance in Hannibal. VOB|1 DVD|3.94 GB Version 2**: A bit higher quality than in the video above, picture looks a bit better and there're much more colors. But unfortunately it's highlights, ~20 min (3rd screenshot). 1995; London, UK Ethan Freeman (Phantom), Jill Washington (Christine), Simon Bowman (Raoul) Single-cam proshot. Quite fuzzy picture, some washout and color loss, but fairly good video for its age. VOB|1 DVD|2.18 GB
9 March 2000; London, UK* Scott Davies (Phantom), Meredith Braun (Christine), Matthew Cammelle (Raoul) Amazing quality with marvelous close-ups and colors, but some head obstruction. VOB|1 DVD|2.95 GB

21 September 2002; London, UK* John Owen-Jones (Phantom), Celia Graham (Christine), Robert Finlayson (Raoul) Generation loss: picture is a bit blurry and dark, color bleeding sometimes. Head obstruction but master avoids them successfully and provides great close-ups. VOB|1 DVD|4.02 GB
15 October 2004; London, UK* John Owen-Jones (Phantom), Rachel Barrell (Christine), Oliver Thornton (Raoul), Sally Harrison (Carlotta), Sam Hiller (André), Anthony Cable (Firmin u/s), Rohan Tickell (Piangi), Emma Edwards (Mme Giry u/s), Claire Tilling (Meg) VOB|2 DVD|7.84 GB
26 February 2005; London, UK* John Owen-Jones (Phantom), Rachel Barrell (Christine), Oliver Thornton (Raoul) Owen Jones' last performance in his first run. An overture was stopped right when chandelier was supposed to go up, it was resumed in few seconds, unfortunately there was a blackout during that moment. Gorgeous filming, shot almost literally from orchestra pit, so amazing close-ups but one or two heads on the way. VOB|2 DVD|6.68 GB
2005/2006; London, UK* Matthew Cammelle (Phantom s/b), Rachel Barrell (Christine), David Shannon (Raoul), Wendy Ferguson (Carlotta), Sam Hiller (André), David Lawrence (Firmin), Rohan Tickell (Piangi), Annette Yeo (Mme Giry), Heidi Ann O'Brien (Meg) 1st gen from digital master. Shot in Widescreen, great quality for this period. In addition, there's an extra footage from another performance (from "The Mirror" to "Prima Donna", from "Wishing..." to "Final Lair") with the same quality. VOB|2 DVD|8.64 GB
January 2006; London, UK* SA78's Master Earl Carpenter (Phantom), Celia Graham (Christine), David Shannon (Raoul), Wendy Ferguson (Carlotta), Sam Hiller (André), David Lawrence (Firmin u/s), Rohan Tickell (Piangi), Emily Harvey (Giry u/s), Heidi Ann O'Brien (Meg) Updated, full and higher quality version received directly from the master. Original files. Master's note: Act one starts at "Lot 666" and act two misses only the Entr'acte. So, basically full video/99% complete. Audio fed from external source. Great audio/video quality, rivals videos shot years later (grainier than the best, though). Although this was shot in (16:9) standard definition, there is lots of detail due to close zooming, a bright lens and encoding to MP4. You can discern the string keeping the mask in place. Black bar in lower part of the picture, and an evil head of doom on centre/stage right. This means small bits were just impossible to capture, but I tried to shoot around it. Some shakiness results at times. Mix of mediums and close ups. Downgraded because of the obstruction, though probably conservatively graded. MP4|11.4 GB
